Ben Huh: Cheezburger network to blackout in protest of SOPA and PIPA on January 18

The entire Cheezburger network would stage a blackout in protest of SOPA and PIPA legislations which threatens the openness of the internet.

This was revealed by Ben Huh in a tweet.

All Cheezburger sites will also be instituting a blackout on January 18th to protest SOPA and PIPA. Now, go ask Wikipedia to do it.

He further asked his followers to push Wikipedia to stage a similar blackout on the same day to spread the awareness about these two legislations which could soon become laws.

SOPA and PIPA are very strong laws that are going to threaten almost every internet operation out there with community participation.

Reddit has already announced their decision to blackout for a period of 12 hours.
