Indian government has finally announced the launch of second generation Aakash.
Aakash 2 was launched by President Pranab Mukherjee. Manufacturing cost of this product is said to be around Rs 2,236.
Indian government would distribute around 1 lakh units for free to students around the country. It would also be available for retail sale just like the first model.
It is powered with an 800MHz processor and is loaded with Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich edition.
It is still not clear what happened to millions of pre-orders Datawind received for the first version of this Tablet.
