Adidas to sell a USD 1 shoe in India through their Reebok subsidiary
Adidas recently revealed plans to sell a new shoe in the Indian market that would cost as little as USD 1.
This shoe would be sold in less developed regions in the country.
The company is expected to sell it through their Reebok subsidiary in the Indian market.
Adidas spoke about the Indian phase of this project: “The focus of Phase III is the development of the actual product and the development of a sustainable business model to ensure the program’s long-term success.”
The company however warned that USD 1 just an indicative price as they have still not decided on the actual market price of this product.
USD 1 shoe from Adidas is a pretty surprising initiative considering their basic shoes can usually cost as much as USD 50-100.
