Airtel has launched their official mobile app for multiple platforms.

Airtel service users can install the app on their phones to access their account data.

There are options to activate/deactivate various services connected to different services.

You can also pay your bills or recharge your DTH/Prepaid connections from the mobile itself.

I played around with the app on my Android phone. It does work as expected. User interface is pretty horrible as it does not follow Android design guidelines. There are not all options available for example I cannot manage the EDGE plan on my prepaid airtel connection.

Now that airtel has a mobile app, I expect them to make it more powerful with time.
