Vodafone recently became the first mobile operator to announce support for Aadhaar cards for identification.

Airtel has now joined the list. The company has just announced that they would start accepting it as a proof of identification.

Reports say that around 21 crore people in the country now has this card which remains in privacy related controversies.

The company is just waiting for some verifications from the Department of Telecom before they implement this.
