Amazon to use Junglee branding in India?

MediaNama has reported that Amazon would run their operations in India with an interesting branding Junglee.

Sort of reminds you of Shammi Kapoor right?

Amazon apparently has owned the Junglee.com domain name for more than a decade now. It is definitely catchy.

The company is already working on establishing backend operations though it is not clear how soon they would have an actual web service catering to regular web users in India.

Amazon is majorly awaited by Indian web users though it would be stupid to expect US like product range and service here in India right away.

The company has declined to comment on all the reports floating around in the market. Things should get clearer in the coming weeks/months.
