Online sources are reporting that Amazon is in talks with potential advertisers to run campaigns that would place ads on the Kindle Fire welcome screen.
This does not sound right because Amazon does not offer a subsidized model of Kindle Fire like they do for Kindle eBook reader.
Amazon already run ads in various sections on the special edition Kindle that is sold at a lower price than the regular edition.
This could be an indication that the company could launch a subsidized version of Fire as well in the coming months.
