Amazon Web Services now have presence in Sao Paulo, Brazil


Amazon has announced the launch of their latest site for their Web Services infrastructure.

The latest addition is Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The company said:

With the paint barely dry on our US West (Oregon) Region, we are now ready to expand again. This time we are going South of the Equator, to Sao Paulo, Brazil. With the opening of this new Region, AWS customers in South and Central America can now enjoy fast, low-latency access to the suite of AWS infrastructure services.

This new center in Brazil supports follow AWS services:

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and related services (Elastic Block Store, Virtual Private Cloud, Elastic Load Balancing, and Auto Scaling).
Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3).
Amazon SimpleDB.
Amazon Relational Database Service (RDS).
Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS).
Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS).
Amazon Elastic MapReduce.
AWS CloudFormation.
Amazon CloudWatch.

Amazon has also started translating this section of their service in the Portuguese language. Some parts are already available in this language option.
