Amazon is said to be working hard on adding support for in-app payments on their mobile app store for the Google Android platform.
It is not clear when they would introduce this capability which would bring it at par with the capabilities of the official Google Android Market.

Reports say that the company has already started testing with some developers who are using it inside their apps.
Amazon has been increasingly becoming more relevant in the Android market especially after they launched their Kindle Fire tablet.
Amazon Kindle Fire has already become one of the largest selling Android based Tablets in the US market.
