Online sources are reporting that Amazon might be working on four different variants of the next edition Kindle Fire Tablet.

If we are to believe the reports, Amazon is planning to offer devices in multiple price segments with different features.

The base model could feature 1024×600 resolution and no camera.
Next model could feature 1280×800 resolution with a front facing camera.
Next model could add support for 4G networks in the US market.
Top end model could feature a much improved display with 1920×1,200 resolution.

Online sources say that first three of these variants would feature a 7 inch display. While the top end model could feature an 8.9” display.

Industry analysts also believe that the company is unlikely to launch a model with a 10” display to directly target Apple iPad.
