Apple did not reveal the market share of the iPad at the recent event where they launched the iPad Mini edition.
Looks like they knew the numbers were not going to be impressive.
Strategy Analytics claims in a report that Android might now have a solid 40% stake in this segment of the market.
The report claims that Apple’s market share is now down to 56.7 percent.
A lot of this can be credited to two product series. Amazon Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7. These low cost Tablets have been extremely popular in the market which has probably taken away a significant market share from Apple.
Google and Amazon have not revealed any sales number for their Tablets so these numbers remain speculation in the end.
