The new Apple iPad does not allow FaceTime calls over LTE

The new Apple iPad is the first Apple product to support LTE networks.

As a result, the device is capable of ultra-fast mobile internet speeds.

Apple however is still restricting FaceTime over mobile networks in the US market.

This is rather funny because you can use the iPad as a Wireless Hotspot to connect your iPhone and make FaceTime calls using it!

Apple is probably being forced by the mobile service providers to implement this restriction.

Remains to be seen how long it would take for Apple iOS devices to allow FaceTime calls over mobile internet networks!
