Apple iTunes 10.6 was released recently to complement the launch of the new iPad and Apple TV models.

Apple did not reveal much in the changelog but apparently this version now allows you to sync your music at 192kbps/256kbps with your iOS devices.

Previously, the app only offered 128kbps for syncing the songs in case you wanted to save space on your Apple iPod Touch/iPhone. Apple iTunes changed the quality of the song during syncing at the set quality option.

This should make a lot of people happy with high quality songs on their machines. They no longer have to compromise by much on their portable devices.
