Apple almost switched to AMD Fusion chips for MacBook Air!

AMD Fusion technology delivers both CPU and GPU in a combined chip offering better performance in limited space.

The company eventually discarded this design and launched an updated version with Intel solution. Sources say that Apple was not satisfied with AMD’s capabilities to deliver what they had wanted.

This is however a good sign that Apple is not relying just on Intel for their future products and they might switch to AMD or any other offering if Intel fails to keep innovating.

We have also heard reports that Apple might switch to ARM technology in the future though it sounds more baffling compared to using AMD processors.
