Apple is expected to launch their Apple TV device in the Indian market officially in the near future.

It is sold in the US market for USD 99. Indian price should be around Rs. 7000.

Apple TV makes a lot more sense for Indian market now that Apple iTunes media store is operational in India.

Users can buy and rent video content. They also have complete access to iCloud and iTunes Match service.

It would be interesting to see how well it does in India looking at the popularity of Apple iOS devices in India. Airplay & Airplay Mirroring features alone are worth the price tag.
