Aviary starts monetizing their mobile SDK

Aviary has launched a major update of their mobile SDK which is used by app developers in their apps to allow users to quickly edit photos on smartphones.

This SDK is available for both Google Android and Apple iOS devices.

The new update features an overhauled user interface which is prettier and more functional.

Aviary has also added a bunch of new effects and filters which should make the apps using this SDK more powerful.

The most important new element is support for in-app purchases which would allow developers to offer extra features for a charge.

Aviary would handle the transactions and take a cut of the profits. This would enable developers of the apps using this SDK to generate revenue for themselves and Aviary.
