Barnes & Noble is expected to start selling a cheaper variant of their Nook Tablet PC from Wednesday.
This variant would come with 8GB onboard storage which would enable the company to price it comparable to the Amazon Kindle Fire.

Nook Tablet is struggling against the Kindle Fire because of its higher price tag.
The new variant would feature similar storage to the Kindle Fire making it a compelling purchase for new customers.
Amazon however still has an advantage when it comes to content available for their model.
