Branch launches Branch Groups which are similar to Google Plus Circles

Branch has added a new feature to their online conversation platform. Branch Groups are similar in nature to Circles on the Google+ platform.

Users of Branch can now create groups of people with similar tastes. They can be added to a conversation by just adding the group name to it instead of individual names.

There is one cool feature. Other users can use the Watch option to follow conversations featuring Branch Groups:

Only people who have joined a Branch group can post in its branches, but that doesn’t mean others have to miss out. Each group has a page like http://branch.com/g/musings-about-text-boxes, where others can ask to join or follow along by “watching” it. Just like you follow someone on Twitter to get updates on their tweets or a blog on Tumblr to get updates on its posts, you can follow a group on Branch to find out when its members start new conversations. (You can even ask to join them, too.) I get to build an bigger audience for our product ideas and get rewarded for bringing people together.

The company said:

Branch groups make it easier to turn your ideas into meaningful conversations and reward you for bringing people together to talk to each other.
