Verizon sees no need to acquire DIRECTV
Verizon Communications Chief Executive Ivan Seidenberg has stated that the company currently sees no requirement to acquire Directv.
He spoke about the rumors that they were looking to acquire Directv: “There’s nothing to that. We don’t have any strategic need.”
He further said that they consider Directv to be a good partner of theirs.
Verizon has been developing their own video service but lacks a nationwide coverage.
