Nokia to cut jobs at their plant in Salo Finland
Nokia continues to rely on job cuts to lower their expenses as they struggle to compete against the new players in the smartphone market.
The company is now considering cutting jobs through 2010 at its Finnish plant located in Salo.
A Nokia representative said that the job cut would affect around 20 percent of 2,000 employees.
The company added: “In this market situation, taking into account usual seasonality, at this point we see no need for full capacity.”
Nokia is however hopeful that 2010 would be a good year for them and they would make a solid comeback.
