Telefonica Europe acquiring Jajah for around USD 207 million
Telefonica Europe has announced that they are acquiring VoIP service provider Jajah.
This deal is worth around USD 207 million.
The company said that Jajah would enable them to boost their service offerings.
Telefonica added that the deal “opens up new capabilities in the voice communication space. People using social networking sites such as Twitter now have an even wider range of communications channels available—and have the option of speaking directly to each other as well as communicating by text or keyboard”.
Telefonica however said that this acquisition deal would require approval from the Spain’s competition agency CNC.
