Canonical has come up with their big announcement. They have just revealed that Ubuntu is now ready for smartphones.
Soon, you would have the ability to carry a proper desktop operating system on your mobile phone.
The company has showcased some demo photos of this mobile OS running on Android based devices.
The platform is compatible with ARM and Intel Atom based processors. Desktop support would require a more powerful device running a quad core A9 processor or an Intel Atom with at least 1GB RAM.
