GM India showcased their new hatchback model Chevrolet Sail at the ongoing Auto Expo 2012.

The company said that Chevrolet Sail would go on sale in India later this year. It would join their other models Chevrolet Spark and Chevrolet Beat.

Chevrolet said: “The Chevrolet Sail hatchback will be a strong addition to GM’s mini-car portfolio in India. It will bring a new sense of vitality to the biggest, fastest-growing and most competitive segment in the domestic passenger car market.”

The company added that Sail would be powered by their latest Smartech engines and both petrol and diesel variants would be on sale.
