Chrome Web Store gets a trending view and other enhancements
Google has rolled out a trending feature on their Chrome Web Store.
Trending section in the store would now highlight the apps that gained traction in the last couple of hours/days.
Google also highlighted other improvements that were released in the recent weeks:
1. Chrome Web Store now has sub-categories to further improve app discovery.
2. Searching is improved with auto-suggestions.
3. Apps with special capabilities have badges. Currently there are two types of badges: apps that can work offline, apps that are available on Google Plus.
All of these improvements will especially come in handy as more apps and extensions launch every day. In the last few weeks, almost all the Google+ games have become available in the store, like the new exclusive Kingdom Age. These add to a slate of new Native Client games like MiniNinjas and new productivity and entertainment apps and extensions like Share on Meebo, Hotmail, and Google’s My Chrome Theme and Google Play Movies.
