CNET: Amazon has licenses from all four major labels for Cloud Player

CNET is reporting that Amazon has already signed deals with all the four major music labels for their cloud based music streaming service.

Amazon Cloud Player currently require users to upload their own media to the service. This means that users have to upload gigabytes of data to sync their music libraries online.

If this is true, Amazon would soon be able to match a feature offered by Apple through their iTunes service.

Users would be able to let Amazon scan their offline music libraries and provide access to the same music online without any uploading.

This would save a lot of hassle for the users of Amazon Cloud Player as they would be able to get instant access to their entire music database online on multiple devices.

Google of course does not have any deals right now for their Google Music platform. They are also said to be in talks for a similar licensing. Remains to be seen when they get it!
