Hi friends, today we are reviewing the popular streaming site Couchtuner. If you are in need of a website to view the latest and most popular TV shows from the USA and abroad, then read on to hear our verdict about this site.
What Exactly Can This Site Do?
How to use Couchtuner?
Using this website is fairly straightforward.
On the home page you will find links to newly released episodes of TV series. There is also a list of all the TV shows available on the right hand side arranged from A-Z. If you can’t find exactly what you are looking for then use the search bar on top right hand side.
Once you have found the show you want to watch, just click the blue link. This will take you to a new page, where you click the blue link beside the yellow text saying “watch it here”.
From here you will get a page with a player embedded. Click play to begin streaming the TV show. If one link isn’t working, or is a little slow, you can try using the tabs along the top. Clicking these provides alternative streams from different websites.
Issues
Using this website isn’t always a smooth experience. The website can be a little slow, usually because of some pop-ups that load whenever you press play. They have a good selection of shows to stream, so if you insist on using Couchstream, there are some things you can do to help improve your experience and keep yourself safe when browsing this site.
How Does It work?
This site is one of those websites that provides links to sites streaming TV shows and movies. The majority of the third party links it provides are to illegal streams. You can watch TV shows like Vikings, Dr Who, American Dad and The Walking Dead without paying anything. Unlike downloading, you are at relatively low liability. The other advantage is that of course, you shouldn’t have to download anything to your computer, although without Adblock you might not find this to be the case!
They don’t host any videos or uploads on the site themselves. Streaming websites that Couchtuner commonly links to include vidbull.com, youwatch.org, putlocker.com. allmyvideos.net, exashare.com, vodlocker.com and allmyvideos.net. The streams from these websites will play on a player embedded on the site. So they, in essence, point the way to illegal streams, without them on their server. They claim not to be liable for infringement of any copyrighted material on linked websites. I’m not sure how all this would stand up in court as they are of course profiting off linking to these sources through ad revenue. However, these guys have been in business since 2010, so they must be doing something right.
Nothing in the world comes for free of course. There are a number of streaming sites that allow you to watch content with relatively little interference. We cannot say that Couchtuner is one of those sites. The website is unfortunately plagued with pop-up ads and other intrusive nasties which we will get in to later.
How to deal with pausing videos
- If your video is continually stopping, you can try refreshing the page and then play the video again from where it stopped.
- Alternatively if this isn’t working you should clear your browser cache by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Delete. Then try watching the video.
- If one stream is slow, try selecting from one of the alternative streams. These are marked above the video.
- Try closing your browser and beginning again. You can also try using a different browser. Alternatives to Chrome include Friefox, Opera and Internet Explorer.
- If you have a slow connection or poor Wifi signal, it is often best to allow the video to load for a few minutes before pressing play.
- If it fails to load completely, then this may be a dead link.
Dealing with pop-ups on couchTuner
First of all you should install the Adblock or Adblock Plus extension in your browser of you are going to use Couchtuner. This should cut down on the amount of ads you will encounter.
However, the guys from these streaming sites have long been wise to Adblock. Even with this installed, you will tend to get multiple pop ups. They begin when you interact with the streaming content by pressing play or pausing. The most annoying ones have audio playing which will interfere with whatever TV show you are trying to watch.
A number of annoying ads will appear in separate windows. Shut these down as they appear, and ignore any messages that come with them. Especially stay clear of any that claim your computer is “infected” or that you need to install malware. These pop-ups are often the source of toxic malware themselves, and prey on people being uninformed and clicking download. The on the AVG web safety forum a number of users have complained of getting malware from Couchtuner, likely from interacting with these pop-ups.
Most importantly Couchtuner will never ask for a credit card number, and they will not ask you to register for an account with them. Do not be duped by these malicious adverts or messages. The accounting message can be convincing for some if their stream isn’t loading. They may think that they need to register with the site, but I repeat, this is never the case.
If you approach the website with common sense and vigilance against potential mal-ware pop ups, it is generally quite use-able. The videos stream quite decently, after you have dealt with the initial onslaught of pop ups.
Example Movie
Suicide Squad
This is the movie where a person gets gathers the worst and most dangerous villains together for Blak ops mission. To know more please watch movie online. This movie is available in HD on 123movies.is for online streaming. It was released in August 2016. But this is the today’s’ most trending movie. With an IMDB rating of 6.4 you can’t tell about this movie a lot. But it is really interesting and marvellous movie and good to watch online. This movie is available on 123movies
Conclusion
Due to some persistent and annoying pop-ups we are hesitant to say that Couchtuner is a truly excellent streaming site. However, bear in mind that it does have a pretty comprehensive list of TV shows, and multiple links to streaming sites for almost every episode listed on the site. Once you overcome the initial annoyance with the pop-ups and intrusive adverts this website is quite functional. The links are updated with a fair degree of regularity and they have a system for reporting dead links. Let us know what you think below.
