DigiTimes: Apple to start production of 7.85” iPad later this year
DigiTimes has reported that according to their sources Apple plans to launch a smaller iPad eventually.
The report said that the company would start production of 7.85” iPad later this year.
The launch could take place during the holiday season later this year or early next year.
Apple iPad is currently available in the larger 9.7” size version and it remains the most popular Tablet PC in the market despite the availability of hundreds of competing models.
A smaller display size would enable Apple to price this new variant at cheaper prices so that they could take on the emerging rivals like Amazon Kindle Fire and Nook Tablet.
