Evernote set to introduce 2 factor authentication this year

Evernote has confirmed that they are accelerating plans to introduce 2 factor authentication on their platform.

The company joined the growing list of companies who got hacked in the recent months. Evernote forced all users to reset their passwords.

Evernote said that they were planning to add 2FA eventually but after the recent attacks, they are now planning to add support for it faster.

They are not alone in doing so. LastPass added it after they were attacked. CloudFlare also offers it along with Dropbox, Amazon and Facebook. Google of course has offered it for a long time and have an open source app that can be used by any company.
