Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg recently admitted that using HTML5 in their mobile apps for Apple iOS and Google Android was a mistake. The technology is not mature enough to be used for mobile apps.

The company has already launched an updated iOS app that performs much better because of the switch to native code from HTML5.

A similar update is expected to launch on Android platform in the coming days.

Reports say that Facebook developers are currently testing a near release version.
