Facebook has launched their latest revenue generation platform Gifts.

For a change these are not virtual gifts. Users would soon be able to select from a range of gift items for their friends.

The idea is to send a present to friends and family on occasions like birthdays and other big moments. Facebook does the hard work. You just pay for it on their platform.

Facebook is inviting businesses to join their platform to offer their products as gifts on this new platform.

This service seems to be restricted to USA right now. Would be interesting to see if they can expand it globally!
