Facebook could launch a job search platform in the coming months

Wall Street Journal has reported that Facebook is working on a job posting and searching platform on their network.

The idea would be to let their users find new jobs suitable for their profile. This engine could also index jobs from other networks while enabling recruiters to post openings directly on Facebook as well.

With this, Facebook could become a solid competitor to platforms like LinkedIn which are largely focused on the professionals.

Facebook has been largely used for leisure by the users. People looking to connect with other professionals prefer LinkedIn.
