Facebook is rolling out a major update to their Messages platform on the web.

Facebook Messages is getting a new side-by-side layout designed to make it easy for you to interact with your friends.

In a way, it looks a lot like how you access Gmail on a Tablet PC. The left column shows the name of your contacts while the right column shows the messages.

Users also get the ability to share multiple photos in their posts that are displayed like posts on the Facebook Newsfeed.

Searching has been massively improved and keyboard shortcuts have been added as well.
