Facebook starts limited testing of Messenger for Windows!

Facebook has confirmed that they are now testing a Windows edition of their Messenger app.

It is being offered to a limited number of their users who are being invited from their dashboard.

The app would allow the user to stay connected to the Facebook network outside the browser.

It would feature the Facebook Ticker, Facebook Chat and also alert the user about new notifications on their newsfeed.

Facebook Messenger is already available on multiple smartphone platforms but this is the first app catering to Windows users.

The app is designed to be used on Windows 7. It is not clear whether they would release versions for the older operating systems.
