Online sources reveal that Facebook might soon add video chat support to their Messenger app on the Apple iPhone platform.

Facebook currently does not offer video chatting on mobile devices. This could just be the beginning.

Facebook of course has partnered with Skype to bring video chat support on their desktop edition. Skype is likely to power this mobile version as well.

Facebook Messenger is also available on other platforms including Google Android and Blackberry. We assume that the support would be extended to these platforms as well in the future.

Google of course already support video chat support on their Google Talk app on Android. Google also has Hangouts on their Google Plus mobile app.

The competition for video chat is just heating up.
