Facebook status updates can now handle 63206 characters
Facebook continues to expand the limits of their status updates.
Users can now post updates that can have as many as 63206 characters.
This limit is up from 5000 characters. Facebook had a limit of 500 characters before Google Plus arrived and pushed them to make some drastic changes on their platform.
Google Plus on paper has no limits for status updates. But sources say that it does not accept inputs larger than 100,000 characters.
Facebook does have a Facebook Notes feature to accept content larger than status updates. Google Plus does not have a comparable feature. Everything has to be posted as a message.
