Flickr now using Pinterest do-not-pin code on copyrighted photos on their network


Flickr has confirmed that they are now using the Pinterest do-not-pin code on sections that show copyrighted images.

The company said that the block is now enabled on all pages which have images not allowed to be shared by the owner.

They are still allowing pinning of content that is public in nature and is marked safe and is enabled for sharing by the uploader of the image.

Pinterest had to provide this code to allow web publishers to block sharing of their web content on their network.

The service has become immensely popular in the recent months though is heavily criticized for enabling copyright infringement by letting people share photos and other content freely.
