Foursquare has as expected launched a totally revamped mobile apps for both Google Android and Apple iOS platforms.

The apps are now focused on discovering and sharing experiences rather than check-ins.

The new friends tab focuses on shared images and tips along with lists and places saved by your friends. You can like or comment on these activities.

The new explore tab is fully automated and shows the best places for you to check out based on check-ins from you and your friends in the nearby area. You can also search for discounted deals.

Check-in functionality is still present and is accessible from the top right on places pages.

User feedback is mixed. Some users are confused by these changes. Other users are annoyed by the missing apps for other platforms.
