GM India has announced plans to have 300 outlets spread across the country by the end of next year.
The company said that they are now going to focus on tier-II and tier-III cities for growth as the competition in metro cities is very intense.
GM India said:
The focus is on opening new facilities in tier-II and tier-III cities. The demand has increased in the semi-urban and rural areas as a result of increased economic activities.
General Motors sell their cars through the Chevrolet brand in the Indian market. Their product range is pretty wide today. They have Aveo U-VA, Spark and Beat in the hatchback segment. Optra, Cruze, Aveo in the sedan segment. Captiva and Tavera in the SUV/MUV market.
