Google Android Ice Cream Sandwich market share nearing 5 percent now!

Google has just updated their Android Platform Versions page. And the updates are pretty interesting.

As per the latest statistics, Google Android ICS edition is now powering around 5% of devices accessing the Google Play Store.

Honeycomb powered devices have a market share of 3.3%.

Google Android Gingerbread remains the most popular platform with a share of 64.4%. Google Android Froyo is still pretty popular with 20.9% of the market.

These figures are a good indication that Android device manufacturers have not done enough with Ice Cream Sandwich update deliveries to their older models. And Android is still not doing well in the Tablet PC market.
