Google Android Jelly Bean would be out for Nexus and Xoom devices this month. This means more fragmentation in the Android segment.
Google’s latest updated platform statistics reveal that Android ICS now powers 10.9% of active devices accessing the Google Play Store.
Android Gingerbread remains the most popular platform with market share of 64%. Android Froyo is second with 17.3% market share.
2.4% of Android devices are still stuck on Honeycomb. At least these should have been updated to Ice Cream Sandwich which is sad.
