Google has added their own song matching tech in the Android Jelly Bean edition.

The feature is named Sound Search though it is codenamed Google Ears.

Google Android Sound Search is accessible through a widget which can be used to recognize a song that is playing in your surrounding.

This tech is not new as third party services like Shazam and SoundHound provide similar functionality.

On Google Android Jelly Bean at least, you would no longer have to rely on third party apps for the same feature.

The widget is integrated with Google Play and the recognized song can be purchased right away if you are in a supported market.
