Google is apparently working on fixing the logging in problem

Google developer Tim Bray has posted a blog post on how the company is working on solving the headaches associated with logging into multiple web services online.

We already have tons of services aiming to make login easier on websites online. Facebook, Twitter and OpenID are used for password less account creation and login for example.

It is not clear what Google is working on but assume that it would be connected to their own platform.

Bray said:

Logging in is annoying and slows you down. My job these days is mostly about reducing that pain, ideally to zero by eliminating it. Google really wants this to happen; here are two reasons why, one general and one specific.

In general, we’d like everyone to spend lots of time online. Less logging in improves the experience, so there you go; not rocket science.
