Google has finally released their Google+ Badges to the general web users.

They had been beta testing these badges with the users subscribed to Google Plus Platform Preview.

These badges showcase the number of likes the page has received and also allows the users to circle the Google+ Page from an external web page.

Different versions are available. The largest one would show thumbnails of your social connections who are following the page as well.

We are already running the code on this site. You can see it in the right column. As you can see, Google is not allowing much customization and the format does not suit compact spaces.
