Google Plus get business features for companies using Google Apps


Google has rolled out some major new features on their Google Plus platform targeted at businesses using Google Apps.

These features would remain freely available to all Google Apps customers till the end of next year.

Google plans to expand the feature-set in this time period in addition to making sure that administrators retain full control of these new functionalities in their network.

Here are some of the new features launching today:

1. Google Apps users can now share content to members of their organization. These shares cannot be shared with folks who are not part of the same Google Apps account. The idea is to encourage sharing inside company networks without worrying about accidental leaks.

2. Video Conferencing integration in Gmail, Google Calendar and Google Docs.

3. Administrative controls are being added to the Google Apps account dashboard.

Google said that this is just the beginning and they plan to add many more features in the coming months. This should further boost the capabilities of their Google Apps platform. Though it remains to be seen how much they would charge for these new features once it goes paid in 2014.
