François Beaufort has another interesting titbit for us from the Chromium development process.
He has revealed that Google Chrome for Android team are working on a web accelerator that would work similarly to Opera Turbo and Amazon Silk.
Pages would be processed on Google servers before they are sent to the user’s browser. This should speed up the browsing on slower internet connections.
Opera Mini and Opera Mobile already offer this functionality on Android and other platforms. Amazon also uses a similar technology named Silk on their Kindle Tablet PCs.
