Google developers recently added an app launcher to their Chromium project which lets you add a button to Windows’ task bar to launch web apps directly.

It has already landed on the Chrome Canary edition and should reach the dev channel edition in the coming days.

Chromium developers are already working on improving it to support search suggestions from the Chrome Web Store.

This is a cool feature that would suggest apps based on the keywords entered by the user but is not installed on his Chrome installation.
