Google has revealed some statistics about their cloud powered printing technology that is bundled with Chrome web browser.

Google said that the service is now powering more than 6 million printers in the world.

Some of these offer support for Google Cloud Print out of the box. Others require a computer running Google Chrome web browser.

Google had launched Cloud Print last year essentially for their Chrome OS platform. It also comes very handy to print documents and other files from smartphones and Tablet PCs.

Google said that Epson, HP and Kodak are already selling multiple models that support this technology out of the box.
