Google Cloud Print gets connected to FedEx Office

Google has added a bunch of new features to their Cloud Print platform.

Google highlighted that users based in USA can now send print jobs to FedEx Office locations anywhere in the country.

They would get a retrieval code which they can use to get a print from their nearest center. This feature can come handy when you are on the move and want to deliver a print to someone with access to a FedEx Office center nearby. We are however not sure why you would not send an email instead that can be printed by the receiver! Anyways, good to have an option for printing services.

The company added that Canon has also launched a bunch of printers that support Google Cloud Print service. Epson, Kodak and HP already support this platform on their printers.

Google has also added support for Chrome for Android in Cloud Print. This feature would let you send a document in PDF format from any compatible device to a mobile device running Android ICS with Chrome. Google spoke about this feature:

Once you install Chrome for Android Beta and sign in, your Android device will appear as a destination in the Cloud Print dialog. After choosing your Android device, a PDF copy of your document will open in Chrome for Android Beta. Next time you need to print something to take on the go, save some paper and “print” it to your Android device instead!
