Google Docs gets improved support for editing tables in documents


Google has rolled out updates to improve table editing on their Docs platform.

You now get the ability to select any grid of cells just like in a desktop app.

Google Docs also now makes it easy to copy paste data into table cells. You can copy the same content in multiple cells by selecting the cells and using the paste command.

Copying cells from one table to another is also improved. There are some other updates as well:

Finally, if you want to make changes to a series of similarly formatted text (like changing every blue and underlined link) throughout your document at once, right click on text with the formatting you want to change, choose “Select all matching text,” and apply new formatting in bulk, instead of individually updating each occurrence.
