Google has rolled out an update to the Research tool on their Docs platform.

This feature has been released based on user feedback.

Google Docs users can now limit their searches to just Scholar search engine.

Google said:

After we added the Research tool to Google documents last week, many of you asked to be able to filter you results to search “Scholar.” Now you can - just click the icon in the Research tool search bar and select “Scholar” to narrow your results. You’ll also be able to insert citations in APA, Chicago, or MLA format via a drop-down menu.
